University

Yesterday I went to a class here at Cornell just to sit and watch. It is the History of Biology, and was very interesting. There were only six students and three prefs. It was so funny because the pref knew I was a visitor and that I was not in the class but he still gave me homework! Can you imagine? He wants me to read and analyze 30 or so pages of a book. Yikes! I have enough on my plate to be getting on with, and now homework from a class I am not even in... Funny...

I also have taken a riding class here, and am going to go take one very soon. I rode a nice gelding. It was nice to get to ride again with other people! I Wish I could all the time. They said I was getting him collected, and that no one can hardly get this horse to collect, she even made a joke about me coming to ride him more often. Wish I could… Well I have to go now, due to studies and riding time. Take care all.

I would like to know what you all think about the Michael Jackson case being acquitted. Maybe with a comment or an e-mail? Thanks!

That’s right! I have only 10 days left here. My nerves are standing on end to finish my classes, and preparing to start at the Community College. My Biology class was fun and I found it a bit easy (not that the exam will be…), and BCIS (business computer information system) is good and a solid A. I will be so glad to get them done with. The barn is started, and starting to look more and more like a barn. The contractor for the house called today and told us that they are right on track for move-in to be on or by July 4th. Yay! But now we must work more and longer to finish up the fence for “los caballos”, who by they way are doing well. Flag has lost both shoes now, and is no longer lame. I am still unable to push him though. Rosie is getting fatter, but is only getting a handful of grain. Horses… ‘K well, tack care all and more later.

USA

The Air Force Academy graduation was yesterday. This graduation, as with all the other service schools, puts on a show at the end of the graduation. All the grads wear their dress blues, which includes a white hat. At the end they all throw their hats up and cheer just as five jets fly over in formation with a strip of white smoke fallowing. http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/06/images/20050601-2_hw9v4286-515h.html It was one of the most impressive things I have ever seen. These Thunderbirds (the jets name) flew over then had to wait for twenty minutes for the vice president to leave the area, but then they flew a show that was worth watching. Truly, it makes me want to be a part of the Air Force. I have seen air shows before, but they just do not measure up to this one. They had three that stayed in formation, while the other two did more advanced loops, spins, and crazy tricks. These Thunderbirds give me a certain amount of security. When they flew over us and the engines were blasting it made me feel proud. Strange? Maybe it is because I have a certain attachment to the Air Force or maybe because I like knowing that these jets are looking out for me. In any circumstance, it was fun.
