Who You Gunna Call?

That's right...Ghost Busters. I wonder, can they combat a cough, and squash a sneeze? I mean if they can be so totality awesome by vacuuming up a man-eating slimy phantom, then a common cold would be no problem. Maybe we could call these ghost busters/cold fighters the “Virus Vanquishers”…catchy.

Now is when I could say this is the end of the post. No more update. That’s it folks *munches carrot* but that would not be a very good ending would it? Eh…ah well!
Take care all!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! At this time in my life I am thankful for so many things. Some things are the love so many people show me, love from my special someone, my country, freedom, family, all my friends, furry, new and old and my faith. Take care all!

We are forced to make choices. Sometimes we do not want to choose, or we think we can avoid it all together, but the simple fact is we have to make a choice. Every second of our life is a new choice of taking that next breath. Yes, I understand that this particular choice is not one we set down and think about very much or ever, but that does not mean the choice is not presented to us. What if we ever make the wrong choice? It could be as detrimental as choosing to not take our next breath? I hope not, because I can feel, and see some difficult choices coming my way in the near future.

I am open to suggestions, if you have any to offer.

The cow jumped over the...what?

Yesterday I took my brother to a movie. As most of you probably know we live pretty far from anywhere we can go to the movie, so we have to drive past lots of farms and ranches. Well we were going down one of the rural roads and there was a big 'ole black and white cow walking along the road. I noticed that she was outside of her pasture and trying to find a way back in. There was a barbwire fence, not the best set up-wise, but it was ok. As soon as we were level with her she jumped plumb over thaht thar wire fence like it was not even there. What?! Cows can jump? Maybe I should get a Eventing cow...

To me, the fact that one thing can completely consume my life is nuts. I have not had the opportunity's to go out and enjoy myself in several weeks (I got to go ride about a week ago...But that's it). I have constantly in front of my books and I know it will get worse because I am not in University yet. *sigh* My time will be better (fun) spent in the years to come.

Halloween was a blast. No horse shows (poo). We had good times. My guy's get-up was as a cowboy, and mine as a gypsy. His was much much more believable, so much that my friends mistook him as a real cowpoke. This was funny. Here is a photo.

Rocks...they are so cute and we have lots of them around here!

I was reading in my econ text notes by the teacher and there is something that really struck me, I think I will type it for all you to see and share ideas....*ahum*

"One of the biggest problems with controlling pollution is that it is an 'externality'-it is 'external' to the market. It is not accounted for the marker system because the entire cost of pollution is not borne by those who pollute. When I pollute, I do not pay the cost alone-it is spread among all of society" ---Crispy critters.

....add more here about what could happen and more "economic" problems.

"One approach to both effectively and efficiently reducing pollution is to assign property rights and responsibilities to the pollution itself. The government can grant each firm so many units of pollution and allow that firm to trade unused units to other firms. In this way, the marketplace allows those who voluntarily reduce pollution to sell their unused pollution rights to those who are unable to reduce pollution any further. Under this system, producers will have an incentive to reduce pollution. They will seek to reduce their pollution and sell their unused units. Those with higher reduction costs can still produce because they will be able to buy the right to do so. In turn, the will pass those costs along to the people who buy the product. The result is the person who benefits from the pollution (the consumer who bought the product) is the person who pays for the pollution. Thus, we have internalized and externality; that is, with higher prices causing a reduction in sales and, therefore, in profits, the polluting company no longer wants to pollute because it isn't profitable to do so."

To me this says a lot. It makes me think...What could go wrong in this system? One thing I know for sure is we need to think of something to help our environment within this generation or else we will all be crispy critters, and so will the helpless non-human kind of future crispy critters.

Thoughts?......................anyone?
