Not posting enough?
So much has happened since last I posted. My b/f has come and gone, Duncan 16 (today!), Flag and I had an awesome horse show, I applied for my first Uni. type thing (waiting to hear if I am accepted), passed my white belt test in kung fu, we decided to breed Miss Rosie, and our house is more than half way done...
The visit with "you know who" was lovely. He stayed for a couple weeks, and I was sad to see him go back to school. But then I found an opportunity to go to school for the summer. It is a program run for high school students, and the program I like seems particularly nice for home scholars. For six weeks I would live university life, and be away from here (yay!!).
About the horse show. It was a dressage schooling, and I was entered in the first 2 training level tests. It was with a group here, that hold dressage shows and also goes to other dressage shows (in short it keeps the shows up to date). There was only one other youth (for this program 21 and under) showing. I had my tests right in a row, just a couple minutes to walk in between. Now, the arena was indoors, and Flag had not been out for a long time due to snow and my hurt ankle. He was a bit "on-edge" at first, but we worked through that and were ready for our tests. They were OK, he got the correct leads, and stopped when I asked. So the major points were good, but he showed a lot of little habits that we get from not working enough. The judge however LOVED Flag, and that I memorized my testes. I got my highest scores that day a 66, and 67, and my first score of 8! I took home two blue ribbons and was so happy with Flag! Yay for my pony and me!
Now then for Rosie...there is a nice looking black and white stallion here named A Tru Rolex, whom would be a perfect husband for Rosie. He is about the same height, and has a real western build. His color though is outstanding. We will either breed her to him in April, or May (if we can), and maybe look for a mare-in-foal or an open mare we could breed to have two foals to grow up together. This is pretty much up to my father, so more power to him.
Ok...moving down the line to our house. It is roofed, and all the walls are up. We have garage doors, windows, and back doors. (not a front door yet because we bought that special....it is really nice) The tubs are is, the electricity is in, the heater is in, the propane is starting, the water heater is in, the fire place is starting. It seems crazy that we still have to wait 2-3 months for it to be finished. Ah well....you all MUST come see us when it is done. The pastures and views are amazing.
There ya go! Pretty much up to date on my life. So, take care all!
