Halloween x-country

So fun! I am used to the open flat area like in Texas. This cross country was up in the mountains and hills. There were a lot of turns and it was a very long course. This show was very open, "you may take any flaged jump, or none at all". Out of 18 jumps Flag and I took about 5. Most of them were much larger and scareier than what we have seen. I dressed him up in American Flag colors and I dressed as an army person. It was fun... Flag was jumpy and as soon as Rosie was out of sight he went crazy. So we did lots and lots of circles...

Next week is a Dressage show and Rosie is staying home! Grr to her! As soon as we had finished the course of a mile and a half (maybe a bit longer) he started walking and then screaming again! It was like he had not just run up and down hills for a long while. Silly horse.

Take care all!

Oh and I forgot, Rosie did really well for her first time out.
